Early Years
Mid Week Sessions
We offer a range of ‘Pop up’ sessions in Parks and Gardens, Community Centres and Green space during term time, with some school holiday dates. Many of these are free due to Government and other Community Sponsorship and grants.
When we are in-between funding blocks, we will sometimes offer these sessions at reduced rates.
We started our Community Play sessions at Coronation Park in 2023, however after storm damage have moved to other locations; to include St Mary’s Community Centre, St Martin Green and other ‘Pop up’ locations Islandwide.

What is ‘Pop up’ Nature Play?
Join us for some muddy messy creative play, whilst outdoors in nature. A Mud kitchen is often in full swing or like, with themed culinary skills to be developed and time to create. There will normally be a ‘Theme’ with linked activities designed to support healthy child development, explore creativity, nurture parent/adult child connection and connection with the natural environment. The wagons will normally be on site and some sites have a sensory swing or Hammocks. These sessions often include a themed story, poem or song, with plenty of time to explore activities at your own pace and be physical moving around the sites. Our Community Play sessions in Parks are usually bigger sessions, other ‘Pop up' sessions could include ‘Nature Base Babies’ ‘Nature Base Sensory’ and ‘Nature Base Explorers’
Visit our ‘Book a Session’ page to check availability and see what’s coming up. Once a session has run it drops off, so be sure to keep checking in or join our mailing list by scrolling down this page.
Family Nature Sessions
Saturdays & school holidays
Join us at one of our Family Sessions running throughout the year. These are often themed like our Bug Hunt, Dino Dig, Pumpkins and Christmas sessions. These aim to offer you a place and base to have fun together as a family (whatever your family Make up is). When we say Family, we mean that you stay with your child, the sessions are aimed at parent/carers and children spending time together. Meet other families and find some time to play! These sessions are packed full; with woodland trails, creative crafts, play dough, Story-time, a song or a poem, wagon rides, loose parts play, hammocks, some of these sessions have the Mud Kitchen set up and Sensory swing, with a Forest School ethos weaved throughout activities and sessions. The ‘Booking page’ will normally give an estimate age range within the session information.
Family After-school Club - Coming soon
Our After school Club is a space for families to come together in woodland or on greenspace; promoting personal and community wellbeing, through stories, nature connection activities and play. Parent/carer/accompanying adult will stay and join in the session with their child(ren). We may tell carefully selected and scripted stories in an atmosphere of contemplation and wonder using Out of the Box Storytelling, this could be using sand or the woodland floor. The stories create a space that encourages a playful, creative and reflective response and brings benefit to people of all ages and world-views. These sessions are a great space for you and your child to reflect on the wisdom, wonder and wellbeing aspects of the stories and play in sessions together.
After School Club sessions can also be run as stand alone ‘Pay as you go’ and can also include sessions focussing on Nature Photography, Nature Art, Forest School , Weave and Breathe and offer a simple supportive format to come together, incorporating well-being practices and offer a time of free-play during sessions to explore and play in the woodland or green space.

Andium Homes Tour
We are really passionate about providing opportunities for all children and families to play outside. We asked Andium Homes if we could 'Pop up' on some of the Andium Home Estates - green spaces, and they said yes. We have spent the last year working with the Community Engagement Team to create a range of ‘Pop up’ Nature Play and Forest School opportunities for families across the estates. We have had the best time getting to know these areas and families. These have been grant funded and made possible by the Government of Jersey; Connect Me - Connecting Communities micro grants.
